Trans-Attraction

Scientific research has been conducted on sexual attraction to transsexual people. Sexual attraction to trans women, crossdressers, non-binary people, and a combination of these has been studied by psychologists. Cisgender men who are attracted to transgender women identify as heterosexual, bisexual, and occasionally homosexual, and some of them even use trans live cams. However, several studies have confirmed that trans-attraction reaction patterns differ from homosexual men’s and resemble those of heterosexual males, with the exception that transgender women, as well as cisgender women.

What Is Trans-Attraction?

Trans-attraction or transsexual attraction is the sexual attraction of people to transgenders. Transsexual attraction has been quite a popular term in the dating world, LGBTQ communities, and trans live cam industry.

Transgender people have a different gender identity from the one that was given to them at birth. They differ from non-binary people, who are people who do not identify themselves as a man or a woman. They may identify as any gender, none at all, or a completely different gender.

Trans-attraction could various things to different people because words evolve throughout time, and even relatively obscure terms like transsexual attraction has different connotations for different people.

Some people believe transsexual attraction is being only attracted to non-binary people. Others believe it denotes attraction to non-cisgender people. Cisgender people identify with the gender they were given at birth. Others believe that this sexual identity can encompass cisgender people who express themselves in genderqueer ways or are into trans live cam.

In other words, those who do not fit gender expectations are included in this understanding. For example, cisgender men who wear make-up and nail polish, or cisgender women who dress in “men’s” clothing or, in some cases, use trans live cam.

Transsexual attraction might relate to being attracted to those who challenge gender conventions, regardless of whether or not they are cisgender.

Sexual Orientations Related to Trans-Attraction

Sexual orientation refers to a person’s emotional, romantic, or sexual attraction to another person. There are various varieties of sexual orientation that relate directly or indirectly with trans-attraction. They are:

Homosexual

Homosexuals are attracted to people of the same sex on a romantic and physical level: Lesbians are women who are attracted to other women, while gay men are men who are attracted to other men. (Although the term “gay” is sometimes used to refer to homosexuals of both sexes.)

Bisexual

Bisexual people are attracted to people of both sexes romantically and physically.

Asexual. Although asexuals are not interested in sex, they still feel emotionally connected to others.

LGBT

The initials “LGBT” or (“LGBTQ”) are sometimes used to describe sexual orientation. “Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender” is the abbreviation for “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender” (or “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning”).

Transgender is a gender identity rather than a sexual orientation. Gender is a term that refers to whether a person is male or female. Transgender people may have a gender-neutral body but believe they are the other gender, as if they were born into the wrong body type.

Other Terms for Trans-Attraction

People who are transgender are frequently grouped with lesbians and gays as a method to include those who do not consider themselves to be “straight.” Trans-attracted people are frequent users of trans live cam.

Individuals who are attracted to transgender people are referred to by a variety of informal terms. Trans-attracted, trans-oriented, transfan, trans admirer, and trans catcher are some of these terms. The terms transamorous and transsensual have also been coined, however they are rarely used.

Although many people consider tranny to be a pejorative, the term “tranny chaser” (often reduced to chaser) and tranny hawk have been used as an alternative to trans-attraction. The term “chaser” is most commonly used to refer to males who are sexually interested in trans women or into trans live cam, but it is also used to refer to men who are interested in trans men. Transgender persons typically use the phrase in a derogatory way because they believe chasers regard them solely for their trans status, rather than for who they are as a person. However, some people use this term in a positive way. Some of these include people who use trans live cam and others who do not discriminate against sexual orientations. Finally, skoliosexual has been used as a term to describe attraction to transgender and non-binary people. The terms pansexual and polysexual (as well as bisexual) can be used to describe people of different genders as the people to whom one is attracted.
